Hi, I’m a 17-year-old visual artist and senior at ChiArts, a pre-professional arts high school in Chicago. My work is rooted in storytelling—whether through illustration, design, sculpture, or mixed media—and often explores themes of identity, memory, and emotion. Growing up in a city full of culture and contrast has deeply influenced how I see and create, and ChiArts has given me the space and tools to turn those perspectives into art. Over the past two years, I’ve focused heavily on sculpture, where I’ve had the chance to experiment with a wide range of materials like clay, plaster, wire, wood, and found objects. This class opened up a new world for me—not just in terms of technique, but also in how I think about form, structure, and meaning. It’s helped me push boundaries, build with intention, and bring my ideas into physical space. This fall, I’ll be continuing my journey at San Diego State University. I’m excited to grow as an artist, collaborate with other creatives, and keep evolving—both technically and conceptually. Art isn’t just my passion—it’s how I process the world, connect with others, and imagine what’s possible.
